Prime Minister Julia Gillard visits ARC Sunshine

Prime Minister Julia Gillard visited ARC Sunshine on Thursday August 12, 2010 – just 9 days before the Federal election.

Greeted by ARC Senior Management, she toured the ARC National Fabric shed at 550 Ballarat Road.

The entourage then moved down to the Sunshine canteen where the Prime Minister addressed ARC employees.

Prime Minister Gillard spent plenty of time meeting with employees, posing for photos, signing autographs and responding to questions.

The PM's visit coincided with ARC's 90th Birthday Celebrations and she happily added her signature to ARC’s 90th Birthday card, guided by long serving employee Kevin Laidlaw.

The PM then used the ARC Canteen to hold a media conference.
