Products for Commercial Construction

Commercial Construction

ARC supplies a comprehensive range of standard N grade, 500 MPa deformed reinforcing bar (D500N). Stock lengths are available off-the-shelf, but rebar is often supplied processed (cut, bent, threaded) or fabricated to suit the specific requirements of the project.

Commercial Construction

Round reinforcing bar, grade R250N to meet the requirements of AS/NZS 4671. Commonly used to manufacture ligatures and dowel bars.

Commercial Construction

These processed bars are normally used to tie reinforced masonry or concrete walls to slabs or footings, as designed by the engineer. Cut and bent to shape from standard deformed reinforcing bar, grade D500N. Common shapes are listed but others can be made to order. Meet the requirements of AS/NZS 4671.

Commercial Construction

A full range of ligatures (fitments) manufactured from round reinforcing bar, grade R250N, to suit all requirements. Commonly used to separate top and bottom layers of Trench Mesh in residential slabs or for fabricating beam or column cages. Common square and rectangular shapes in 6mm and 10mm bar are listed below. Other shapes and sizes can be manufactured to order. All ligatures meet AS/NZS 4671.

Commercial Construction

ARC can produce a range of custom meshes for project-specific requirements.

Some of the benefits of using ARC SpecialMesh® on your next project include:

  • SpecialMesh is produced in made to order sizes, so you only pay for what you use, minimising waste
  • Saving time on site because no cutting or shaping is required
  • Use of finger laps will eliminate congestion in lapping zones.

Engineered Mesh

Manufactured from D500L Grade wires configured in variable spacing and sheet size to suit individual projects.

DuctileMesh 500®

Manufactured from R500N Grade wires (10mm only), configured in variable spacing and sheet size to suit individual projects requiring the added performance of higher ductility.

Minimum order quantities apply, talk to your local ARC sales representative for more information.

Commercial Construction

Plastic slab-on-ground spacers are suitable for supporting both reinforcing mesh and bar in slab-on-ground applications.

  • Slab-on-ground spacers are made to cover two heights
  • These bar chairs are a dual-size plastic reinforcing
  • They have a flat base to minimise penetration through the waterproof membrane
  • The bar chairs are supplied stacked in the bag to minimise storage space
Commercial Construction

The steel-wire spacer's legs are protected with a film of plastic. Plastic-tipped bar chairs can be used in suspended slabs, beams, vertical walls and slab on ground applications.

  • Range of heights from 20mm to 360mm
  • Ensures consistent placement of reinforcement in slabs
  • Requires no adjustment after pouring of concrete

Metal base

Metal bases are round metal plates that support wire bar chairs on soft surfaces.

  • Prevents the wire spacer sinking into the ground
  • Metal base sizes are available to suit bar chairs up to 200mm in height
Commercial Construction

Plastic Continuous Bar Chairs are used to speed up the placement of reinforcement.

  • Two metres in length
  • Three sizes provide cover of 25mm, 40mm or 50m
  • Suitable for use as a bottom deck spacer where there are two layers of reinforcement required
  • Suitable for ARC Rollmaster system
  • Used in slab-on-ground and suspended slab applications
Commercial Construction

Lysaght Bondek profiled steel decking is a highly efficient, versatile and robust formwork, reinforcement and ceiling system for concrete slabs. It is profile steel sheeting widely accepted by the building and construction industry, and offers efficiency and speed of construction.

  • Rollformed from 100% Australian DECKFORM steel manufactured by BlueScope Steel
  • Excellent spanning capacities for greater strength and less deflection
  • Acts as permanent formwork with minimal propping and no stripping of formwork is required
  • Works as composite slab saving on concrete and reinforcement costs
  • 590mm-wide cover with ribs at 200mm centres creating a safe working platform with slip-resistant embossments
Commercial Construction

Stramit Condeck HP composite decking is the ideal structural decking for concrete or steel-framed structures. The ribs of the profile are fully enclosed in concrete, giving the advantages of a solid slab, plus the savings of a composite slab.  There are no voids to compromise thermal performance.

  • Usually no need for positive reinforcement
  • Often no need for fire emergency reinforcement
  • Two-hour fire rating on 120mm slab
  • Better end span performance with Stramit Condeck Plus accessory
  • 300mm cover for ease of handling
