Concrete Jointing
Connolly Key Joints are a high quality roll-formed galvanised metal key joint. They can be used for the control of shrinkage cracking and differential movement in concrete slabs in all continuous-pour applications. They can also be used in stop-pour situations or as sacrificial formwork.
- Connolly key joints work with all Connolly UDS 'quick twist' in-dowel sleeves.
- Connolly key joints have 'knockouts' to accommodate a range of dowel sizes and shapes.
- Significant cost-savings due to continuous pour applications.
- Superior height adjustment system makes for fastest installation setup time in the industry.
- Can be used to screed-off which makes getting the right level quick and easy - formed prior to deliver.
Danley preformed metal key joints is a patented, multi-function galvanised steel stay-in-place formwork system for concrete slabs. Key joints enable loads to be transferred between adjoining slabs while allowing lateral movement and limiting differential vertical movement. Danley Key Joints incorporate a unique drive-n-twist stake system to make installation simple.
- Facilitates greater control of joints in concrete slabs.
- Allows continuous concrete placement with preformed internal joints.
- Provides a more uniform joint line at a fraction of the cost of conventional formwork.
- Knock-outs provide for placement of square dowels.
- Available in 100, 125, 150, 200 and 250 mm sizes and in 3m and 6m lengths.
When placed into wet concrete, Crack-A-Joint will induce a crack along the strip as the concrete cures to form a control joint. Crack-A-Joint immediately initiates a contraction joint in the slab when it is positioned in wet concrete. Crack-A-Joint allows you to finish the floor in the same day, with no need to return the next day to saw cut.
- Crack-A-Joint will butt up to any given edge, even columns.
- During installation, Crack-A-Joint remains rigid.
- Crack-A-Joint can be easily joined using the joining clips available.
- Available with Rip-A-Strip capping that is UV stabilised and available in four colours: grey, terracotta, sandstone or black.
- No fill required. Crack-A-Joint's steel edge acts as a support for the edge of the concrete and stops unsightly fraying and chipping.
The Ground Crack Inducer produces a weakening in a slab which results in a crack where planned.
- Durable PVC extrusion
- Supplied in 3m lengths
- Available in 25mm and 50mm heights
- Ideal for use with Danley dowel cradles
Dowels are available in black and hot-dipped galvanised.
Square dowels
Structural-grade square dowels sawn to length, not cropped.
- Available in 16, 20, 25, 28, 32 and 40 mm sizes
- Available in 400, 500 and 600 mm lengths
Round dowels
Structural-grade round dowels sawn to length, not cropped.

Dowel Serts are a nail-on, two-part black plastic sleeve for dowels.
- Available in lengths of 200mm to suit 16mm bar size and 300mm to suit 20mm bar size
A plastic cap with a hinged end, the Dowel Expansion Cap is designed to fit over a round dowel bar, allowing for expansion by creating a void at the end of the bar. Suitable for bar sizes 12mm, 16mm, 20mm and 24mm.
Full-length dowel sleeves are suitable for a wide variety of jointing applications.
- Colour-coded
- Available for round or square dowels
- Square dowels include boot
Speed Sleeves are used with round dowels to eliminate the need for drilling formwork and greasing dowels. Vertical movement at joints is minimised and damage at joints is reduced. Speed Sleeves are not reusable.
- Easy and quick to use
- Suitable for galvanised dowels
- Available for 16 and 20 mm diameter dowels
- Standard length 240 and 310 mm to suit 400 and 600 mm long dowels
- Nailing plates available for fixing to forms (sold separately)
Dowelmaster is a plastic cover for square dowels that allows slab movement in two directions. Simply secure the sleeves to the construction joint forms with the optional nailing plates, pour the concrete, strip the forms and insert square dowels into the sleeves - ready for the second pour.
- Available for 16 and 20 mm square dowels
- Suits both 300 and 400 mm long dowels
- Prevents slab lock-up
- Supplied with fixing stake and wedge
- Compatible with Danley Key joint
A galvanised steel cover with foam strips each side, sized to suit anticipated dowel movement both perpendicular and parallel to the joint.
- Prevents slab lock-up
- Standard sizes available for 16 - 40 mm square dowels (other sizes available on
- request)
- Standard type has 5 mm compressible foam each side
- Ideal for use on started dowels drilled and epoxied into existing slabs
Danley Diamond Dowels offer the most efficient dowel system available and are well-suited for construction joints. Danley Diamond Dowels have a high load capacity and minimise differential deflection between slabs.
- Available in 6mm (orange sleeve) and 10mm (blue sleeve) sizes
- Allows two-directional movement in the horizontal plane
- Available in black, galvanised and stainless steel
- One-piece PVC sleeves
- Supplied with fixing nails
Danley Plate Dowel Cradles consist of a plate dowel secured in a fabricated cradle, offering a highly efficient dowel system well suited for contraction joints.
- High load capacities
- Limits differential deformation between slabs
- Available in 6 or 10mm plate sizes and supplied in 3m lengths
- Available for slab thicknesses 100 to 300 mm
- Dowels available in black, galvanised and stainless steel
Flexible Expansion Jointing helps to prevent cracks and breakages in slabs caused by the expansion and contraction of concrete due to changes in climatic conditions.
- Used in all standard concrete construction ñ driveways, footpaths, floor slabs, etc.
- Sizes to suit 75mm, 100mm, 125mm, 150mm and 200mm slab thickness
- 10mm thick and supplied in rolls of 25m
Stiff Expansion Jointing prevents cracks and breaks that have been caused by changes in climatic conditions expanding and contracting the concrete.
- Manufactured from bitumen impregnated stiff fibrous material
- Sizes to suit 75mm and 100mm slabs
- 10mm thick and supplied in lengths 2440mm long
