Closing the Loop: The Circular Story of LOKPOD®
What makes LOKPOD® special?
Brought to you by ARC, LOKPOD® delivers real benefits for builders, concreters, and the planet. 100% recycled plastic, 100% Australian Made and 100% passion from the people behind the product.
From its origin, LOKPOD®’s story is unique and to showcase it in more than just words, we’ve created a video to demonstrate just how LOKPOD® moves from household waste to the foundation of your home. The circular story starting and ending with you.
At ARC, we’re created a closed-loop system, partnering with family-owned Australian businesses.
Polymer Processors and Garden City Plastics, situated just a short drive from each other in Dandenong, Victoria, is where LOKPOD® transforms from plastic waste into our innovative, fully integrated reinforcing slab solution.
Hear from Lily, LOKPOD®’s National Sales Manager at ARC
“There’s so much work that goes into LOKPOD®,” says Lily Collins Sales Manager of LOKPOD® at ARC. “What’s exciting about the manufacturing process is really looking at the quality of every step along the way, trying to look for alternative solutions to waste materials that would otherwise end up in landfill. That’s something we really like to be a part of.
“It’s so rewarding, not just because we’re looking at an alternative solution to polystyrene going into our residential slabs, but also, looking at if we are providing that alternative, what is it? And it’s 100% recycled plastic. It’s such an awesome circle to see that material truly being re-used and put back into somebody’s home. It’s something I’m really proud of and something that was very important to ARC when looking at their innovation journey,” adds Lily.
